Teeth Whitening Washington

Time to get my braces off! But wait! What about the yellow teeth?
I am getting my braces off Tuesday here in Washington and I was wondering if there is any way to whiten my teeth before then? I have kinda yellowish teeth and when I get them off I know I will have squares that are different colors but those will be a quick fix I hope. I kinda want to hear from someone who has experienced this or a professional. Thanks!
it is best to whiten your teeth after you get your braces off – you have no way of telling what color the “squares” will be and you could be in the same situation when you get them off (you could whiten the part of the tooth w/o the “square” too much and then the “square” would be more yellow than the rest of your tooth)
plus, if you get it done from A Dentist (ZOOM for example, which is about $200) most won’t do it until after your braces are off
after you get your braces off start using a whitening toothpaste (like Crest whitening expressions) and then you can decide on what kind of whitening you want (depends on how fast you want it done, how much money you have, etc).
there are home whitening products (like baking soda or hydrogen peroxide) but you shouldn’t use this for a long time bc it can damage your teeth
there are also the OTC products like Crest whitestrips. i think this takes about a week to start to notice things (about $25-35+ depending on where you get them).
the thing that i have is customized bleaching trays and gel from my dentist. it takes about a week to get the trays but after you wear them your teeth are noticably whiter after 1-2 nights (at least mine were). my trays and 4 syringes of the gel cost $50 – but this also depends on where you live and if your dentist is having a “special” (like some Dentists i know are offering free whitening if you make a “check-up” appointment)
hope this helps! =)
