Dental Care Package

question 1?
Q.1 Increasingly employees are being allowed to choose benefit packages from a menu of items. For instance, workers may be given a package of benefits that include basic and optional items. Basics might include modest medical coverage, life insurance equal to a years salary, vacation time based on length of service and some retirement pay. But then employees can use credits to choose among such additional benefits as full medical coverage, dental and eye care, more vacation time, additional disability income and higher co. payments to retirement fund. How do you think flexible benefit packages would affect an employee’s choice between higher wages and more benefits.
I think effect will be positive toward benefit packages – but of course packages should provide relevant value in exchange. Overvice worker may get wage and purchase package without company. In majority cases these packages are actually illusions, and it’s hard to fit into workers’ plans and preferences.
Inflexibility of benefit packages makes it useless for most/many workers (thus acts demotivating way) – but flexibility makes it costly (so no profits for company).
