How long as a residence in the state to be considered in the first round of state?

im a senior thats in high school will graduate w / a diploma and an associate of science degree at university. i plan on moving to Texas or Arizona where i graduate and ill probably fall, but return in the spring. How long do I have to live in this state of being considered as a first cycle of the state?? and any u recommend good colleges for physical therapy or Dentistry or forensic such as Texas or Arizona, where IIN do u have to stay in a dormitory. advice for college at all if u think you can help

In fact, most States say college students are not eligible for residency, regardless of how long you have lived there. You may be able circumvent these problems by getting your own apt (unless you live in the dorms), obtain a bank account, get your license and registration the car and registering to vote as soon as you get there, but it will take some years in most states.
